Pocket Pad app for iPhone and iPad

Idealpos Pocket Pad works in conjunction with Idealpos 7.1 Build 5 or above and requires both the Restaurant and Ideal Handheld modules in Idealpos.

Orders can be saved to tables within the app and sent to the Idealpos software where products are automatically printed to Kitchen Printers or displayed on Ideal Kitchen Monitor.

The app can be operated by the waiter, or it can be locked to the table where the customer is seated and handed to them so they can place orders for their own table only.

The app is designed to work well with both iPhones and iPads, with tailored functionality specific to each platform.

Other functions available on the app are Table Maps, Product Images, Bill Printing, Table Enquiries and viewing notes (notes can be manually entered from the Idealpos software to show specials of the day).

Items can be entered with Seat Numbers and text can be added to the order.

Demo mode is available for customers to use the app without networking it with the Idealpos Software. Demo mode can be used to demonstrate the functions of the app without the requirement of having a working Idealpos system to connect it to.

Pocket Pad contains all the existing features and functionality of the Ideal Handheld V4 app, with the addition of the following features:

- Home Screen: Enable the Home Screen to increase the security of the app, forcing Clerks to login to the app using their Clerk Code. Compulsory Clerk can also be enabled in conjunction with the Home Screen to force the Clerk to login after each order has been sent.

- Stock Notes: Enable Stock Notes to enable the app to display Stock Item Stock Notes. Stock Notes can be displayed by holding down on a Stock Item button for a few seconds - a Stock Notes window will be displayed containing any information about the selected item.

Pocket Pad has the following features that are available on an iPad:

- Menu Item Layout the same as Idealpos.
- Landscape Only view
- Item Graphics use the same filename as Idealpos (still requires the images to be copied to a URL location).
- New Send Order button
- Clerk name shows in the top left-hand corner.

Pocket Pad has the following features that are available on both iPhone and iPad:

- Supports force selling price items.
- Open Stock Item prompts for Price and Description.
- Compulsory Clerk
